The Crime Analyst I (CA) is responsible for establishing and coordinating the more complex operations of the laboratory’s property control system and inventory management. The CA I performs technical and administrative duties for the Bureau of Forensic Services. Duties include: receiving case evidence, reviewing associated case information, and establishing a chain of custody for each submitted evidence item; monitoring the laboratory’s evidence storage areas; and utilizing the Department’s asset management system to track laboratory equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
