Job Description General Manager \n \n Currently in Seaside, CA, relocating to a new facility in Salinas, CA, in September 2025. \n \n The General Manager will proactively manage overall operations, including the delivery of safe and reliable service, employee oversight, management of contract assets, risk management, client and customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy. \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n\n \n Continuously builds relationships with employees, clients, union partners, and the local community. \n \n According to the location/client contract, sets commercial and operational strategic direction for the business unit team. \n \n Leads the management team and employee workforce to achieve corporate/property safety goals, service performance, and financial objectives. \n \n Identifies, suggests, and develops business growth opportunities. \n \n Optimizes the return on assets deployed within the business to include vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and performance management. \n \n Identifies and analyzes KPIs to maintain positive results. \n \n Ensures services are provided within budget and action plans are developed and implemented to improve operational efficiencies. \n \n Determines and delivers business unit budget. \n \n Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and compliance with Transdev corporate safety standards. \n \n Oversees all staff management and assigns development training in liaison with the corporate team as appropriate. \n \n Ensures effective environmental compliance and sustainability management. \n \n Provides complete and accurate data collection, compilation, analysis, and reporting \n \n Other duties as required. \n \n\n \n Qualifications: \n \n\n \n Completion of a four (4) year college degree in a relevant field is desirable, although a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. \n \n Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field or equivalent business experience preferred. \n \n At least 5 years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation of similar size and scope. \n \n Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws. \n \n Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations. \n \n Ability to build solid and maintain strong working relationships with clients. \n \n Ability to manage cost control and financial budget. \n \n Working knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. \n \n Understanding of technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and understanding of transportation technology. \n \n Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization. \n \n Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, with strong attention to detail. \n \n Ability to navigate Labor Relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances and negotiations. \n \n Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable.
