Job Description

A K-12 school in Belen, NM, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full academic year contract. This professional role offers the opportunity to support the emotional, social, and educational development of students across all grade levels in a dynamic school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret evaluation results to identify student needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and counselors to develop effective intervention plans.
• Provide counseling services and crisis intervention as necessary.
• Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to developing educational goals.
• Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
• Promote a positive school climate that supports mental health and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools and educational laws related to special education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate documentation.
