The Opportunity As a Senior Frontend Full-stack Software Engineer, you will leverage ngrok’s platform to design, develop, and implement features that meet current and future customer needs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver new features, balancing innovation with platform stability. Responsibilities Build responsive, accessible web applications using React, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, and HTML5. Translate wireframes and mockups into functional, performant web applications. Contribute to and leverage ngrok’s Mantle design system. Enhance APIs by building gRPC endpoints supporting CRUD operations for data fetching. Define interfaces between server and client using gRPC and Protobuf for type safety. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Mentor and support other engineers to foster growth and knowledge sharing. Qualifications 8+ years of frontend engineering experience with expertise in TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS. Experience with server-side rendering frameworks like Next.js and Remix, understanding their tradeoffs. Strong skills in React component design and design systems. Knowledge of frontend tooling such as Turborepo, pnpm, Vite, Esbuild, and Webpack. Familiarity with network protocols and terminology. Passion for frontend development with backend curiosity. Experience working asynchronously in distributed teams. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Ability to learn from mistakes, adapt quickly, and drive innovation. Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, building customer-facing features with rapid iteration. Compensation & Benefits Tier 1 (SF, LA, Seattle, NYC): $172,000 - $215,000, with salary and equity options. All candidates must be US-based and authorized to work in the US.
